Digital Manipulations

For my digital imagery class we had an assignment where we needed to take a photo we took and create a series of images using what was in the photo. I took my panorama and also sometimes used the chain photograph that I had because of how interesting the silhouette looked.

One of these digitally created images were then to be printed out and used to create some designs through traditional means and the use of stencils. I did enjoy the stencil process and may use that technique more; I started to enjoy it once I got the hang of it.

This was the one I used for the print series.

Panoramas! Finally!

Oh look, my panoramas for my final photography assignment last semester! Well, better late than never right? Plus I have an upcoming post related to one of these images. So I hope you enjoy these because I  had a blast taking them around where I live.

This one is my favourite...

This one is also my favourite and is from the other side of the previous photo. It definitely looks way more interesting.

Photography Compilation

Seeing as how there were a ton of photos taken for photography every week, I just picked out a handful of the ones that I particularly loved.

Fast and Slow Shutter Speed

The slow and fast shutter speed assignment was one that I enjoyed but it was also tedious having to take photos of every specific shutter setting that was needed.

I avoided any people in this post, but I absolutely love this photo so I couldn't not post it. Sorry Nate.

Design & Composition

I enjoyed this one since it was pretty open to what kind of photos that were required. We had to take photos that depicted the elements of design. I went for a minimal approach to most of them.

Panoramas

I enjoyed this one the most and did the final portfolio as panoramas. Unfortunately I am having trouble uploading others because they're "too big", although I did upload another in my previous post where I used it a reference for my Narrative Self-Portrait assignment. I will find a solution though, so that I can post my Photography Portfolio which I took more interesting panoramas.

Back to School

So I finished my first week back at school, I only have one more class to attend which is painting on monday afternoon.

I also have two photography classes: a legitimate photography class for my program and the elective I chose was a photography related course. I think I finally gone full hipster. So I guess that means I'll have a photography section this year too...

Here's a photo that was part of our photography "scavenger hunt". We had take pictures following the list we were given to become familiar with the camera operations and settings. Generic close up shot with a dramatic depth of field, I know. But it was the only interesting photo I took that day so deal with it.

I also haven't really done any photography since high school and kind of abandoned it, so this will be fun.

Third year is looking pretty interesting so far and there's also the end of the year VCA art show, which I'm kind of nervous about. Portfolios are my main priority though, let's hope it's this year.
